Overview:
The lower and basement floor internal refurbishment project of Llandinam Tower block which houses Geography and Earth Sciences at Aberystwyth University.

What we did:
The works consisted of the refurbishment of the foyer area including new flooring, encapsulation of asbestos, wall paneling, new visual screens and decoration.
On the lower floor, we installed new electrical power and data infrastructure, distribution boards, LED dali lighting system, ceiling grid system (including junction detailing), automatic blackout blinds, recladding, construction of new café-style counter, redecoration and fitting of new white oak doors and ironmongery.

The works were carried out within a tight timetable during the summer holidays with no disruption to the remaining building users.

The project demonstrates our ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and specialist contractors to produce a professional project on time and within budget.

What the client says:
“Throughout the contract they performed to a high standard. They managed constraints in a professional manner, accommodated additional requests and carried these out swiftly.
“The team delivered high quality finishes and completed in advance of the overall completion date. The works came in on budget.
“I would highly recommend LEB Construction carrying out this nature of work in a Higher Education Environment”.
